Welcome!

York Psychotherapy Training Centre was established in 1992 to provide the highest standards of counselling, psychotherapy, supervision and training within BACP and UKCP guidelines. It has established links with academic and professional training bodies and a wide network of associates.
 
The Centre offers a 4-year professional training course leading to the GPTI Diploma in Psychotherapy and UKCP Registration as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. Optional Masters Degree routes are also available after the 3-year core training. The course is run by senior teaching members of GPTI and assisted by graduates who bring a diverse range of experience and perspectives. Some of the workshops are open to people with a wider professional or personal interest in Gestalt. The Centre occasionally offers short courses and workshops.
 

York is a rich environment for those coming to train here, with its city walls, medieval streets and York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral north of the Alps. It is also a thriving centre for the arts and has some excellent cafe-bars and restaurants.
